    How do I change Dedicated graphics memory


    I'm Trying to change the Dedicated graphics memory for my Laptop Since right now its only 256 MB out of the 3067 MB It has. I can't figure out how to change it.

    Proactiveboomer, welcome to the Seven Forums.

    Unless there is an option in the bios to change it to 512 MB, you can't. Also if it is there and you increase, you will also have less system memory.

    As far as that 3067 MB available that is the total of dedicated and shared, and the shared only gets used if/when the dedicated is filled up. This might help some,

    If the drivers or BIOS don't allow you to set it, you might not be able to. I'm not sure of the reason why you'd want to, as it won't make the graphics more capable or faster.
