No HDD has been identified in your system.

Hey sevenforums, ive been having loads of problems with my PC.. And i got the error
    A disk error has occurred
    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
and i get an infinite loop. So i googled around and saw someone said use HDD diagnostic, i used Ultimate Boot CD followed his steps and it says:
No Hard Disk Drive has been identified in your system.
The following are the possible causes:
    - HDD POWER CABLE IS NOT PROPERLY ATTACHED TO THE HDD
(After turning off the power to the system, please check the HDD power cable.)
    - HDD INTERFACE CABLE IS NOT PROPERLY ATTACHED TO THE HDD
(After turning off the power to the system, please check the HDD interface cable.)
    - HDD MASTER-SLAVE SETTING IS INCORRECT
(After turning off the power to the system, please confirm the appropriate jumper setting for the HDD.
Please power down your PC system, check the above items, and then restart the program.
If after checking the possible causes, the problem still persists, it is possible that the HDD itself is faulty.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heres how it got to that.
    1) Laptop crashed.
    2) Went to do clean install of Windows 7 off USB (Its the right version with SP1 dont worry)
    3) Got stuck at 13%
    4) Stupid me turned it off
    5) Get error "A disk read error has occured"
    6) Got diagnostic report right up there^

So seven, can you help me?

EDIT: Heres the website: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ If any of the tools listed can help me tell me.

Is the HD detected in BIOS setup under storage devices? What is the SATA controller setting?

Google the HD listing in BIOS to determine make, or look on the HD itself. Then run the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan, followed by Disk Check run from booted installer's Command Line accessed by pressing Shift + F10 at first screen.

What is the source of the ISO you wrote to flash stick? You were advised repeatedly to download the latest official ISO and write to stick using Steps 1+2 in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 . Please confirm back that you did exactly this - not part of it, not that tool didn't work to boot stick - confirm you did both steps.

Have you tried running any diag tools on the hard drive, or wiping it clean to a blank drive?

Confirm the HD condition by booting WD Data Lifeguard CD to run extended CD scan WD Support / Downloads Burn ISO to CD using Windows Image Burner.

If HD checks out, use the feature on the WD CD to Quick Erase it.

Do you have a working CD or DVD drive? How about burning Win7 ISO to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed?

I don't care whether you want to talk about ISO now or not. When I ask you repeatedly about the ISO and to download the latest to know it is intact, then you either do that or you get help elsewhere. You said the Win7 Download Tool won't write to flash stick - which is almost always due to disagreeable ISO.

Reply in full to every question and step I give you to proceed.

I just gave you a way above. You can also boot the installer, press Shift + F10 at first screen to get a Command Line to use Diskpart Clean Command

You'll need to respond in full to the questions I've asked you before we go any further.

What is the exact source of the ISO you're trying to write to stick?

Please provide a URL so we can see the download page.
