Windows 7: What absolutely needs to go on SSD apart from WIN 7OS

I have a brand new toy with 2 64 GB SSDs set up in super raid and a 750 GB HDD. Apart from the OS, what else absolutely needs to go on the SSD(c drive)so for instance when I install itunes, norton , guildwars, firefox can i just point them to D at the outset and that will suffice?Thanks in advance.

Super RAID? What in the world is that? Are you talking about the MSI RAID 0 implementation?




Nothing absolutely needs to be on the SSD. But whatever you do put on the SSD will improve your system performance. I try to load all applications and games to my SSD. I only use my spinner to store data files. This way, with imaging, all I need to image is my C drive and I have a fully working system again. If you split some apps out to D, without having an image of the D drive, you won't have a fully working system.

its what MSI call it.Anyway thanks for that so really games dont need to go into program files I can just install them on D in any old folder and just keep the popular ones on the SSD.What about antivirus will it monitor both drives for issues?

Yes, you can install apps to any drive in your computer. Your AV will scan all drives in your computer, unless you have specifically setup an exclusion.
