Logitech Cordless Number Pad for Notebook-hotkeys?

Hi, I have a question concerning the Logitech Cordless Number Pad. Details of that keypad can be found here: Support + Downloads: Cordless Number Pad for Notebooks - Logitech The top 3 buttons of the keypad are to lauch Excel, calculator, and internet explorer respectively. I think such tasks are accomplished by sending a certain combination of hotkeys to Windows 7, and if so, is it possible for me to know which keys they are (maybe by using a keylogger or some sort of keystroke detecting programs). As I do not have excel yet and do not really need internet explorer when using the keypad, I want to see if I can use those keys to launch something else by changing what the hotkeys trigger. Thank you very much!
