Got 6GB ram but can only use 3.25GB i am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Hello there, i got a little issue, i got 6GB ram, but apparently i can only use 3.25GB of them...
Wich annoys me cause i got 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate. So i am so lost about it,
so i thought i would try my luck here. Is it because i need to activate something in BIOS or what
    Anyways, please help me!

64 bit. hmm well in 32 bit you can only use 3.5 GB of ram, but you have 64 bit. and 6 GB of ram is surely enough that the other 3 GB wouldn't be dedicated to graphic cards and such. Is the hardware old, and try going to start> type msconfig>boot tab>advanced options and make sure maximum memory is not checked. If so uncheck it and restart your computer and then see if most of your ram is accessible.

Nothing to do with graphics or Windows. That motherboard/chipset,

    MSI USA ? Mainboard - 945P Neo2-F

only supports up to 4 GB of ram,

    Main Memory

    • Supports four unbuffered DIMM of 1.8 Volt DDRII DRAM
    • Supports up to 4GB memory size.
    • Supports dual channel DDRII memory architecture.
    • Supports DDR2 400/533/667 memory interface.

*Depending on the type of memory used, it is not always possible to physically address the entire 4GB, you may found that you can only address up to 3.5GB, 3.8GB etc. This is a chipset limitation rather than BIOS or motherboard design.
The result is that regardless of whether you run 32 bit or 64 bit Windows, you will only have available what you do now.
