Dell XPS M1530 becomes completely unresponsive when entering sleep

Hi,
I have a Dell XPS M1530 which I installed Windows 7 Professional (SP1) x86 from MSDN.

Most times when the laptop is going to sleep from a power management sleep after x minutes, or closing the lid, this happens:
- The system appears to hang. There's no hard disk activity and nothing recorded in the event viewer around that time.
- The screen is black and doesn't wake up
- Capslock/numlock don't light up when toggled

And I have to hold the power button to turn the system off. When I turn it back on there's no evidence of a bugcheck or error in any of the system event logs.

What's the best way of starting to debug this issue and track down what's causing this?

Thanks!

XPS 1530 freezing issue

Hi breathing ,

My name is Sukanya and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.
In regards to teh issue you have reported ,I suggest you update the system BIOS and teh video driver once .If that does not fix we can try reinstakkin Windows 7 once again just to rule out the OS .If that alos do not fix the issue ,it could be a hard ware fault and a video card replacement may be required.
I am attaching the link from teh bios and the graphics card driver.

Please let me know how it is working out.
