Investigated Error Logs
Ive been getting this warning out of Windows 7 Event Viewer for some time re Diagnostics-Performance Operational
The Desktop Window Manager is experiencing heavy resource contention.take a look in Event Viewer at Administrative Events
Right Click go to find and write in "igdumd32.dll" or alternately "igdumd64.dll"
this is what came up:
Faulting application name: wmplayer.exe, version: 12.0.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7a485Note the app was looking for, igdumd32.dll
I suspected "igdumd64.dll" corrupt dll file in C:\Windows\System32, igdumd64.dll
the one aboard was 8+Mb, had no previous version, I found another online at 5.7Mb.
swapped it by killing everything that I could in Task Manager until copy/paste took
rebooted, problem solved
Note to Mods: Edit the title to something less subjective if you care to
