So I have a HP Pavilion dv4 Laptop and a Logitech Wireless Mouse. All of a sudden today, my keyboard went haywire. For example, if I tried typing into a URL bar or any area where I can type letters, it automatically deletes itself. Also, let's say I use Google Chrome. The opening site would be google. But if I want to type Facebook, whenever I click the URL bar, it highlights the google URL, and whenever I backspace, it doesn't work. It deletes the URL but suddenly, the URL comes back highlighted.
Even in like the computer setup when I recently started up the laptop (e.g. commands for safe mode, etc.), it somehow already initiates the default highlighted command without giving me the chance to change options.
I soon found out it was from my logitech wireless mouse. I took off the plug from the USB slot and everything works fine. But whenever I plug it back in the spot, regardless of USB slot, the keyboard problem comes back. I want to salvage my wireless mouse, but what is exactly the problem here? It's frustrating and I want to preserve my mouse for easier use (which still works btw) rather than throwing the entire thing away just because of keyboard malfunction. Thank you!
