Yeah my mains varies between 242 and 248acv but even so after rectification the final stage regulator should keep the output dcv at a steady voltage and even the older types would within+/- 0.1v of stated or required voltage especially if one wa using one of the variable circuits.

I'll see if I can dig some out for reference.
