H100 pump makes somewhat loud grinding noise

Just finished installing my upgrades to my computer, including a nice new H100, and it would appear my hopes for a silent PC one day have been blown out of the water, with this cooler at least. The pump unit is making a sound like...well...a loud pump really, a constant grinding/buzzing/humming noise, kinda like a failing hard drive spinning. I know for a fact they are not meant to perform this way, and I have read many topics about this, but I am a little uncertain still.

Has anyone actually encountered this problem and/or knows how to fix it? Replies I have seen involve:

-Shaking it/bending pipes/generally moving it about (perhaps moving air bubbles?)
-Lowering the voltage (apparently at 12V the pump can be prone to this)

Obviously the shaking/moving thing is a pain cause you just gotta keep doing it till it works (or doesn't), and it requires the removal of the block which requires thermal paste to be reapplied, etc, pain in the ass. The voltage thing sounds very plausible, but I'm not sure exactly how to fix it.

Can anyone give me a specific/accurate explanation of what the noise is and/or how I can (prefereably not might, but rather can) fix this?

    Thanks.

    Update:

This site here had quite a few solutions such as those I mentioned earlier:
    Corsair H100 pump noise

I have tried tapping the pipes, that only made it a bit louder, and I've cycled through the pump settings but that has done nothing. I don't want to remove the block because I'm in debt and I have no thermal paste I can use if I need to replace what is on there already which is probably a good idea. I have no molex to molex adapter I can use to make a makeshift voltage adapter either. Bit of a predicament :P

ello tomhaits a comon problem with the h100. i have read a few threads about it and it seems most people that have this problem dont have the fans running off the pump.
if its really loud and does'nt stop after a few days u can rma it.i have 2 fans run off the pump and dont get the grinding noise but i have'nt tried it with the fans run off my mobo.
there is a fix for it though if u wnt to mess about Corsair H100 Pump Noise Fix - YouTube

    I have
-The 3 pin from the h100 plugged into the motherboard cpu header
-The molex from the h100 plugged directly into a 12V molex from my power supply
-The 2 original fans that came with the h100, plugged into the h100

I am thinking I may attempt an RMA, but here in New Zealand it is such a pain. Do you generally go through the store you got it from? Or directly from corsair?

I get pretty much that exact sound from my h100 that the guy in the video did. I'm going to have a look around but I don't think I have any molex adapters to use or anything :P not to mention I have no idea where to find diodes, i've tried to look but I barely know where to start.

    EDIT:
Quick look, lots of female molex but no male.

I have the "80" model and the fans are noisy with this, too. I'm building a new system for my recording studio and may have to do something different for the CPU cooler. I'll see once I get the case side panels on and its sitting in in the bottom (open) of my computer desk.

It only takes about three minutes (with the sides off of the case) for the fans to speed up. I have it set for the lowest speed with the speed switch but that doesn't make any difference. Its not the CPU temperature as its running in the 20's (C).
