Did paperclip trick, retrieved DVD, but door still won't open on PC?

Was having trouble ejecting disc, tried the paperclip trick, that worked enough so that I could pry the tray the rest of the way out and get the DVD. But, after I closed the tray it's still refusing to obey me.

Ejecting still isn't working.

Can someone point me in a good direction? Thank you.

I'd see if any of the suggestions provided by SpiritX work. Start with updating device driver.

Replace the drive. They are inexpensive ($20 to $25 range).

The only drivers for optical drives (CD/DVD/Blu-Ray) are the default built in Windows drivers.
