Just reformatted my pc and now my 1T hard drive only has 100G!?

So I just reformatted my hard drive today and now my 1t hard drive only has 100G on it. Now I have no idea what so ever why it only has 100G on it now but I do have some info that might be crucial to figuring out why!

    1. So when i got my computer i put the system recovery files on 3 disks for when i want to re format it so today i put 1 of those disks in and it started to reformat, then it asked for the second so i put in the 2nd, then it asked for 3rd but i lost the third one so here it is a half dead computer with no OS on it! So I get my win7 cd put it in, enter key then i get (max # of users) so I couldn't put windows 7 on it.Then i remembered a win7 code on side of my pc long story short got win7 on pc. (derp)

    2. When I put the 1st one of my recovery disks in it asked me which partition i wanted to put win7 on there were 4 (key word), i just randomly chose 3. then it just asked for 2nd disk.....

okay so thats my info i really have no idea whats going on i really hope someone can help me thank so much!

Do you know what it's formatted as? NTFS or Fat? That could be a key issue.

What do you see in Disk Management for the drive?

My guess is that you have a 100GB partition, and 900GB of unallocated space. It may be more complex than that, though.

I accually just fixed it so now i have 2 drives 1st one has 100G 2nd has 900G I just posted another forum post saying how that now i want my 2nd drive to be my main heres a quote from the post thanks!

"Have 2 disk drives want one to be my main one
So i just reformatted and had to do some things to where i have 2 disk drives now under computer.
    Local Disk (c: ) and New volume (J: )
Now the reason why I have 2 is because after I reformatted something went wrong to where my what should be 1T C drive only has 100G so i did some changes to where not i have another drive J thats has 900G on it but now C drive still have program files (x86) on it and stuff and whenever i want to download something it wants to put it on my C drive not J so how do i make it to where all my files and downloads go directly to my J drive?"
