Computer will not recognize universal USB when plugged into USB port.

I recently purchased the Phillips Universal USB from Amazon for my mp3 player; my previous one broke and now I have no way of hooking it up to my computer and putting new music on my mp3. The problem is when I plug in the usb the computer does NOTHING, nothing pops up. Nada. When I plug in other usbs they seem to work fine so I'm not sure what the problem is. What can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Samsoon, welcome to seven Forums. When you plug in other USBs do they work? Also, go to Device Manager and expand USB on the bottom, see if there are any yellow triangles or any exclamation marks.
