I have a 15"4 monitor from an old laptop, which i would like to turn into a small LCD tv and/or a DVD PlayerAnyone here knows a good guide for it? This is my first project of this kind, so i don't know where to start.

Interesting project, not seen anything in print , but as for ideas and parts you may want to check out some of the custom car parts suppliers - I've seen a few custom builds using laptop screens for video output
Anyone else knows anything about doing this?

Since you only have the screen, you may be able to improvise on this particular method to make yourself a very small computer in the same way that can ebe used for watching movies and such.
