Installed 30G Solid State Drive / Win 7 RTM

Installed OCZ Vertex 30G solid state drive to my build 7600 RTM last week with no issues whatsoever. My pc is a Dell Inspirion 531. Win 7 and ALL my apps installed and ther SSD is only 47% full. All my media files and program installation files storage on D: (1TB Hitachi hdd)

I am posting to ENCOURAGE others to go with SSD especially on Win 7 as it is very "ssd aware.' My system boot time with apps installed went from 65 secs to 40 secs. Paintshop Pro explodes onto the screen with no hesitation. IE8 launches seemingly instantaneously. Adobe Audition 3 loads in 3 secs opposed to 12 secs off hdd. Newegg has this drive for $139 plus a $20 rebate for a net cost of $119.

No Thanks .. So far, I’ve been able to resist the urge to spend money and get a SSD.
I really don’t want to see a screenshot of a Hdtune benchmark or your W7 WEI

Whoops .. At first glance .. I thought you were DocBrown

If you want ... I could make you your own Christopher Lloyd Avatar ..
So you wouldn't have to Steal DocBrown's.

I'm sure Doc would appreciate this .. And it might save some future confusion.

As per Doc's suggestion .. Here's your own Avatar .. Unless you have another Idea.

I was afraid that I might not get here in time ....
Before Doc had a chance to charge up his 1.21 gigawatt Flux Capacitor ..
and Zap Charlie into another Time Zone....
At least wait til I get a chance to see his WEI

Maybe with a SSD .. I should make the eyes move faster .. You think ??

Apparently, Doc’s polite personal request to use another Avatar ....
And my attempts to “educate” Charlie about Avatar Identities has made him mad.

I’m now wondering if that OCZ Vertex 30G solid state drive comes with a bad attitude ..
and is missing a sense of humor ??

I really hope he didn't go away mad ... I wanted to see his WEI

I just installed a Intel SSDSA2MH080G1GC (80 GB) and it only took 27 minutes to install Win7 64. Also, it only takes 34 seconds to boot up aftert pressing the power button and that with a program called Rollback Rx running at startup which takes a few seconds to run.
