Canon LIDE 25 WIA Driver Hack for Windows 7 64-bit

PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST - I spoke too soon.

This does eliminate the
'You need a WIA driver' error. It also breaks the twain driver, rendering the scanner useless.

DO NOT try this at home...

This worked for me - hope it helps you...

Seen numerous threads here for the various Canon LIDE scanners regarding the '
'You need a WIA driver' error. Here's my fix.

Install the Vista 64-bit WIA driver from the
Canon site. After unplugging and replugging the scanner everything works fine.

Clue - the Windows 7 64-bit twain driver file is the same as the Vista 64-bit file. Canon needs to update their site to include the WIA driver under the Windows 7 64-bit group.
