Comp wont standby...(few problems since using W7 Manager)
I used Yamicsoft Windows 7 Manager to make a few tweaks after installing Windows 7 and ever since then I have had some problems, things I haven't changed in the program.
1. The Wireless Icon sometimes doesn't appear in the tray, it used to be gone all the time but I found a reg fix, now its there MOST of the time - this happened after using the above app
2. The comp will not put itself into standby, and when I force standby it simply turns off the monitor and PC stays on - this happened after using the above app
3. Hybrid Sleep will not turn on in Advanced Power Options - this happened (I Think) after using that app
I have tried tweaks on this site such as using CMD to check and see whats set to wake the computer and I disabled the Mouse, LAN and left Keyboard opted.. I have sleep set at 25 minutes but it does not invoke. I have gone through DevMngr and unchecked 'Allow Device To Wake This Computer' on everything except keyboard.
when I put it too sleep it turns off monitor but PC stays on, when i wake it Iam at the lock/login screen - so its TRYING to sleep but something is stopping it
I have been in BIOS, it was on S1+S3, I have tried S3 on its own (as thats the one I want to use anyway) but still no joy, I do believe the internal battery may be low...could it be this>?
can anyone help with any of this?
