My webcam is gone!

I use a zinox laptop with a built-in camera but whenever i tried to switch it on using my webcam installer, it tells me "no camera device" or no "chicony setup file". I downloaded a setup file but after installation, it tells me to switch on my camera using the Fn+F10 keys and if i do that, i always saw the "camera on" message or "camera off" if i do it again. But still my webcam installer tells me "no chicony setup file" or "no camera device". I have the driver cd with me but it also tells me to power on my camera before installing the driver. Am just confused. Please I need some help.
