Windows 7: Boot Ready CDs/DVDs won't boot even after they are boot ready!

Very odd. Is it maybe an intermittent problem? Is it only with discs that've been burned rather than manufactured?

I've not gone back to read through this thread again, but if it's only an issue with burned discs there may be a fix for it.

I don't think so. It is still seeing the (written by itself) DVDs as blank (except a couple), but it read an original DVD movie today.
The only thing left to do is to buy new DVDs, write them, and check them if it reads them. That way we will have more information about what is going on I guess.

Try and identify between what always works vs. what never works regarding CDs, DVDs, etc., and burned vs. manufactured.

If I missed something don't hate me. Did you ever try a external DVD player hooked to your computer.?

I think Seven Forums is one of the best places on earth if not the best.
Only on Seven Forums, you would receive such polite comments.
And no, I wouldn't hate you for that!
(And don't tell me you are from or close to Norwalk/Elyria, the years I spent there was real nice!)

No, I haven't tried that, because I have no access to an external DVD Player at the moment.

I am not burning any more discs. Even if I burn them, I can't use them anyway. I will check about the external DVD Player (to get one on my hands even temporarily just to test).
