    You can connect it to your computer and do it with Disk Management.

    Dave I want to ask a question over here:

    Is it possible to partition an HDD if you have some data on it?? Or does 1 need to clean-up the HDD & then should partition it??

    You can shrink an existing partition with data on it--and then make a new partition from the free space that generates.

    For safety's sake, you should have the data backed up somewhere before you start.

    You can usually shrink a partition to some degree with Disk Management, but Partition Wizard is a more flexible tool for the purpose.
