windows 7 touchpad different after reinstalling windows 7

I had the terrible zersoaccess rootkit. so I just reinstalled my windows 7 wiping out everthing just to make sure it was gone. now i can not expand my screen using my touchpad not to mention the sensitivity.
Is there any help for this?

Hi jimneely ,Welcome to the forums, You need to redownload and install the Synaptics touchpad driver Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] Unfortunately there are no win7 32bit drivers so install the vista 32bit drivers they may have to be installed in compatibility mode :)
Here is the link to the Win7 32bit drivers (senior moment ) http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/.../inspiron-1750

Read carefully all of the Support and Downloads webpages for your model on Dell site to see if there is additional software for touchpad gestures, or hotfixes which address this or any other issues.

This is explained here along with all of the steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
