Ok thanks a lot bobkn, this is really helping me alot!
I guess im gona go to some benchmark sites and compare the cards, and see what i think would be best to use.

And my friends says the same about amd and nVida drivers, that AMD "sucks" and nVidia is all glory and heaven with the drivers. but there is always new drivers and updates, so no one can be sure on what drivers is the "best" in my view.

Last component then, the mobo.
I know im gona go for 1155 socket. but i have no clue on what price tag to go for on mobo, what do i need on them and such. the only mobo ive been looking at is a ASUS P8Z77. But again, i have 0 knowledge on mobo so i dont know if its any good or not.

I've mostly used Asus boards. Their tech support is supposed to be poor, but I've never needed it.

Which P8Z77 do you have in mind? There are quite a few boards in that family.

My personal prejudices:

I prefer full ATX over micro ATX.

I prefer boards that don't have chipset fans.

If you wish to use a long graphics card, note the location of other connectors. I had a Gigabyte P67 board last year where the front panel connector block was awkwardly placed with respect to the graphics slot.

A friend told me that this ASUS P8Z77-V, Socket-1155 was a good choice.
What do you think?

Unless you happen upon somebody here playing the games you want to play, with the hardware you're thinking about, your best bet is to use the Youtube search box.
Plug in bf2 P8Z77-V, or bf3 i5 2300, or crysis 2 i5 2300, etc.
Looks to me like your current MB/CPU are enough with maybe a new vid card.
You can add a card and run Crossfire, your most cost-efficient path.
Or 2 new cards, coming under $1000.
But if you've got $1000 to spend, it's easy to blow that for a difference in performance that might not even be noticeable.

It says in your specs that you have an Intel Core i5. Not sure why you would want to upgrade from that. There is not much place to go. If you really want to increase the performance of your PC, just buy an SSD. The i5 you have with an SSD would be very fast. They are much cheaper than buying a MB, CPU and Ram.
