    SanDisk Extreme 240GB SSD Low Performance

    I have AHCI enabled in BIOS, I installed windows AFTER enabling it I also checked the registry value and its enabled, however I still think its not performing at its best, its connected to a Sata III port so thats not an issue, AHCI is enabled, I don't know what else it could be, its rated at 550 MB/s Sequential Read, 520MB/s Sequential Write, 39K IOPS Random Read, 83K IOPS Random Write and I am only getting the following results;

    might sound like a really dumb thing to check but is your sata cable ok? some boards come with different cables for sata 3 connections for example asus come with a black and white cable that has sata 600/ sata 3 on them.

    i'm not sure how much of a difference they make if any but just a thought.

    Can you run ATTO disk benchmark and post the results. A lot of ssd's don't perform well in as ssd .

    That is a super performance. Don't expect any better. Don't go by the advertised ratings. No SSD I have ever seen can do those rating numbers.

    For the OS, the numbers that count are the 4K nums because that is the blocksize the OS uses. The big blocksizes do practically never occur.

    Here is the best I ever got from my own SSDs (of which I have seven).
