Hey guys, I've been a bit busy with work these past few weeks, but uhm I was able to talk to the guys at the store I bought the ExHDD and they were kind enough to replace my WD Elements 1023 with a newer model (WD My Passport 0748), and what's sweet about this new drive is it's already using USB 3.0 which is pretty sweet and it has this installer for a software called WD SmartWare that has a couple of features like backup and retrieve and such. Though I haven't yet had the time to play around with the software. It also has WD QuickView on the system tray which shows a percentage of the used space on My Passport and a temp status which I think is useful.

All in all i'm pretty content on how the store I bought the drive from handled the situation (apparently they were not able to fix my old drive so they just gave me a new one. lol). Anyway, thank you so much to everyone who helped out, I really appreciate it. Now I know where to go with my questions about anything Ciao!

P.S. Will now mark this as solved. Our awesome mods can now close this thread
