The reason to avoid Dynamic is for a HDD that has a booting Windows on it, Dynamic is known to disable the boot function sometimes and Windows, not to mention data will be lost.

I don't have a system on that HDD but if at some point if I need to convert it (dynamic to basic) do I have to format my entire drive or I could do it partition by partition so I can save my data on them?
You would have to do the entire HDD but the Partition Wizard boot CD linked in my earlier post is extremely reliable though backup is always the operable word.
Are You saying that I could format my entire HDD and than with this program recover everything back?!
As soon as I posted this l realized what stupid thing I said :)
In the beginning of my thread You said it could be some sort of virus?
Yeah, don't worry, I misunderstood:) I read your thread about that and I must say its very good I usually just copy everything somewhere else and copy them back again...
Could this partition be a virus?
Do You suggest that I post this at the System Security part of this forum?
