custom color red mouse cursor resorts to std white cursor.

SevenForums,

I have been using larger cursors in Win for 10 or so yr because the std cursors are too small & white in color. Not enough contrast.

Below is what I did:

  1. I copied my colored cursors into to the <cursor> folder
  2. In control panel, selected my color cursors from pointers under Mouse icon.
  3. Then created scheme saved it.
  4. To make sure, I went to my desktop theme & saved it to a new name, indication colored cursors.
After I get out of all this & go back to work, the colored 9red) cursor reverts back to the std white cursor.

What is different in Windows 7 at the cursor level from previous to cause this? This process use to take a minute or two then, now it takes 5-15 esp when you have to search the web for answers, only to ask the best Windows 7 forum on the web.

cheers,

klxdrt
