Which one should be the fastest?
I think I know the answer, but want some second opinions.

Either one you install will make your PC run so much faster that you the difference between the two will be negligible.

What about the increased IOPS on the Vertex, does it make a difference?

Only in benchmarks.

Real life you will never notice the difference.

I'm partial to the Samsung.

OCZ has had F/W problems in the past though this may not be a problem on the Vertex 4.
It did make me leery to get one.

So I guess it comes down to your personal preference.
