Thanks! Right, I just haven't figured out to locate and install the driver. The .zip file when unzipped shows 3 small files none of which is a .exe file which I'm used to for driver installation. The ACER people said it's a plug and play device which implies that it uses a Windows 7 driver that, in my experience with Win 7, should be automatically located and installed very quickly. Something is keeping the computer from seeing the monitor when using the DVI connection. Maybe I'd better re-check the cable! I will do that tomorrow when I;m back in my shop.
