Unresponsive Keyboard.

I've noticed recently that when I'm typing, I've been getting alot of spelling errors in my words, in the form of letters missing from the words.

At first I thought I just wasn't pressing the keyboard hard enough, but even when I'm consciously typing quite aggressively to stop this, I still get missing letters in my writing.

Even as I type these words, I'm having to go back on myself every few sentences to add a space or missing letter.

The keyboard isn't unresponsive permanently, it just sometimes doesn't recognise any input for a split second.

First thought is to clean the keyboard from debris. Turn it upside down and shake and watch the debris fall out...then take a can of compressed air and blow the keyboard keys throughly. Worst case scenario would be to disassemble the keyboard and see if there are any stuck keys or damaged keys or key mechanisms...then while your in there blow it out making absolutely sure there is nothing left to cause the keys to stick.

Of course, one more course is to replace it with a different keyboard, just to check the keyboard itself. If the problem goes away, hey, new keyboards can cost as little as $15... If the problem persists, well then, that's a different animal all together.

The kayboard is part of my laptop, so replacing it may be a bit difficult.

The laptop itself is an Acer Aspire 7720, the issue seems to randomly crop up.
I think it may be caused by the laptop doing some kind of background work, like loading webpages and running scans.

The sporadic nature of the issue makes it so that I can't really tell if it's truly a problem worth solving or not.

For example, as I type all this, I have only had about one missing letter in this whole post.
I think, if it comes back and is noticable, I'll give a look at what sites I'm on and what programs I have running.

My specs are on my account, so you should be able to find it there.

I'm currently running Hitman Pro (trial version) and Malwarebytes (full, licensed version).
There may be other things I'm running, but I'm not sure what would be hogging the resources.

Is there any program I can run in the background that makes a log of all the programs that have been using memory?

Is it possible to hook up a USB keyboard and see if the problem persists? (Although I don't know if it will disable the onboard keyboard...)
