| | USB and Portable HD will no longer work, drivers will not install Hello, My usb flash drives and portable hd will no longer work. I get message (Device driver software was not successfully installed). My mouse does installs correctly and works fine. Flash drives and portable HD do show up as yellow exclamation marked in device manager, I have tried uninstaling drivers restarting to initiate reinstall. I have also tried other procedures including using microsofts fix it also I cannot do trouble shooting i get "an error occurred while troubleshooting a problem is preventing the troubleshooter from starting Last edited by Fix; 18 Aug 2012 at 01:56 PM..
