Rick99,
That appears to be a first class and may I say one kick ass rig you're about the build. I would visit Asus's site and dbl. check that the ram is on the approved and tested list. I would suggest G-Skill ram or Corsair's new line of Dominator. http://biz.tigerdirect.com/applicati...862&CatId=4534 | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number A blend of brains, brawn and dumb luck, ask me about rig #2 ! If you mean will it start up if the parts are not defective and you assemble it correctly, I'd say yes.
But I'm guessing you mean something other than "if this build would work".
It may be a completely ridiculous set of parts, depending on your intended use and budget. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

I don't comprehend the reply.

Yes likely to both but IMHO do you really need or want to drop 1k+ on a CPU? What a waste of resources unless you are going to make some money doing something faster then others on it? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number A blend of brains, brawn and dumb luck, ask me about rig #2 ! Yeah, I thought the 3960K would be around $700 not $1000 but since it's so much more and not really worth it I'm probably going to get the 3930K. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number ASUS G75VW-BHI7N07 OS Windows 8 Home premium? 64 bit CPU Intel core i7 3630QM 2.3-3.2 Motherboard Default motherboard Memory 8GB Graphics Card Nvidia GTX 660m 2GB Dedicated Vram Sound Card Not sure Monitor(s) Displays Default monitor Screen Resolution 1920x1080p Keyboard Default Mouse Razer Naga PSU Default Case Laptop default Cooling Default Hard Drives 1TB 5400RPM Internet Speed 20-35 Most I ever got 57.75 on wifi.
