Printer not functioning correctly on new HP Pavilion g7 Notebook.

    Hey

After I got my new laptop, my mom had wanted to print a few things off of some websites. After the installation of my Printer (HP Officejet V40) onto my new laptop (HP Pavilion g7-2010nr Notebook PC), I tried printing those things. But there were always problems with each of the printing attempts.

    1. There was always an error in the Printing Queue that didn't let me print anything.
    2. When I printed off of Google Chrome, one or more of the pages would be skipped unless it was the last line or so at the bottom.
    3. The sites don't print out correctly sometimes or the printer stops suddenly after 1-2 pages
    4. At the end sometimes it just randomly ejects a blank sheet.

I've tried using the troubleshooter and it says it is fixed, but the errors keep happening. I don't know if I should get a new printer or not..because school is in 2 weeks for me and I need a printer.

Can you describe better how the printer is connected and how the laptop connects to it i.e is the printer hardwired to a fixed PC and the laptop connects across a network or is the printer wireless and the laptop connects directly to it ?.

Well. The printer is a printer by itself. It connects to my laptop via usb cable. Not sure if that helps :/

Bash I'm not sure what you mean?

You have to install the software cd/dvd that came with the printer onto your computer...if not you'll never be able to print. If you don't have the cd/dvd printer disc you can down load it from HP's website.
