    Is it possible to put in an express slot/pci instead of SATA cd drive?


    I have the Acer Aspire 5810TZ with Windows 7 pro 32-bit

    No I mean an adapter thing that would plug into the SATA for the cd drive and turn into a pci/express slot for an Egpu project I have in mind.

    No. SATA and PCI Express are not interchangeable.

    Are you sure you know that I mean an adapter that would plug into the SATA the I would plug the Express card into it?

    Are you talking about a PCI card with SATA hookups on it? I have seen those for desktop PC's, but not for laptops.

    Express Card is a combination of PCI Express and USB 2(/3). A SATA port is not PCI Express or USB.
