    Could i have information about my motherboard?


    Could someone tell me what is the size of my motherboard 'ATX or Micro ATX'

    And if i were to buy a motherboard of the same size would it fit in my current computer box

    From what I can find it is a micro ATX style board. There is a picture of the motherboard laying on an ASUS P5G-MX board's box and its the same size as the ASUS box, and ASUS lists this as a micro ATX board.

    Another micro ATX board should fit but you will have to change the rear I/O panel. If the HP/Compaq case has the standard removeable I/O plate you are OK. If not it may just be easier to buy a new case (a $50 case will work well and be as good or better than the stock HP/Compaq case) and then you can use whatever size motherboard you want.

    The PC is from Packard Bell, not HP. There's no connection between the companies.

    The board is a microATX. However, microATX boards can be as large as 244 mm square, but your board isn't square. Maybe the case can accomodate all microATX boards, but it's not simple to determine that.

    To answer a question that you didn't ask: if your aim is an upgrade, check the rating of the power supply. It's common for a small appliance PC like this to come with a 220 or 250W PSU, which isn't enough for many discrete graphics cards.
