Windows 7: screen gets no signal

screen gets no signal

Started the computer this morning and everything worked. Screen worked I logged in and well then it didn't work. I panicked and long story short after checking several possibilities I tried an other screen (several possibilities being turining it on and off, other cable, checking all the connections rest i don't remember). And well that gets a signal. So now I'm very confused. The first screen still doesn't get a signal but I'd like to run on that because the one that works is afully tiny.
os is windows 7(duh) home premium 64 bit
graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 310
screen 1 ACER AL2216W (doesn't get the signal and by that i mean it displays the message no signal )
screen 2 Sony something. Its old one so that's all I know about it.(does get a signal)
So what or why or how or something must I do in order to get the first one back running?

Im not very sure this is the right subforum.

(also on a side note Can sheep fly? (yes or no) i was sooo tempted to answer yes because it would be awsome)
