No problem! Glad I could help out. I have recommended Samsung SSD's numerous times to friends and family and everybody that has picked one up has raved about it. It is honestly the only SSD I have had experience with that I can recommend, as far as new generation SSD's go. I do have an Intel X25-M that will probably be running when I'm old and gray lol!

I just went to Amazon and they are having a sale at $99.00.
I also received an email from my Discover card that said I had $15.00 in rebates that I could use at Amazon, so the total price for this drive was $88.00!

I can give you an idea of Sandisk's support. Several years ago, I had a 16GB SD card go south only two years into a five year warranty. I emailed them about getting it replaced under warranty. That started a string of emails in which they played twenty questions until they found a loophole they could use to deny my claim; it had been purchased from Amazon.com with their so called "frustration free" packaging (it wasn't in their sealed package). Their website said nothing about their products having to be in their packaging to have the warranty honored. I can understand their concern for counterfeits but they could have at least looked at the darned thing instead of just blowing me off like they did. I haven't bought a single SanDisk product since then, nor will I ever buy any of those weasel's products again.

I thought my computer was sluggish and ran a test on the ssd- I am sick


I disconnected the other drives and ran the Crystal disc test - the nos. are terrible.
When I got it a couple of weeks ago, they were great.

Do you think the ssd failed or something else?

Have you run a benchmark such as AS SSD which also shows access times? How do access times now compared to access times previously?

I am running the Samsung cd Benchmark now.
It says it takes 55 minutes.

I'll let you know the results.

Have you ran the OS Optimization to make sure everything is the way it needs to be? Also, run the Performance Optimization, and keep an eye on it because when it gets done with that, it will start right in on a performance benchmark, which you can manually stop. After it's stopped, run AS SSD and show us those results.
