Hi.
I have been developing a ComputerVision application with OpenCV and the camera Philips SPC1330NC/00 (a very good camera for its price). I have been having some problems with the camera on Windows 7, using the official and up to date Philips drivers. The cameras auto exposure function does not seem to work correctly in low light conditions. The camera does not drop the frame rate for better exposure. Manually reducing the frame rate or trying to adjust the exposure does not work either. The only control that does work is the manual gain.
I have been setting the camera controls through Philips software. I have also tried to use default windows drivers and GraphEdit for control settings, without success.
I have tested the same camera in Linux where the camera (or the driver) does drop the frame rate for better exposures. I also think the auto exposure works as expected in Windows XP (although I have not tested it recently, It had worked in the past).
Can anyone help me solve the problem with the auto exposure function?
Thank you in advance,
Martin
