AMD Chips - Hudson D1 vs AMD E-350

Of the two, AMD Hudson D1 or AMD E-350...which is the faster chip and better for HD video and streaming video content.

well depends HD6310 or HD6320 and is it a E450

That is what Hudson D1 is which i actualy own in my specs

easily would be the E450 model based on it having a little more cpu power E350 is 1,6Ghz Turbo E450 1,65 Turbo

Also HD6320 Discret graphic card can play DX9 /10 games on decent settings if that is what you also plan to do
Resident evil 4 for comparission it is playable on medium settings at about 15 to 25fps

OK, just discovered the system I am looking at has a Hudson D1 E-350 with AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics. Will this manage HD 720p well and stream HD...and maybe some games?

How does the above compare to a system with this:
-Atom D525
-Next-Generation NVIDIA ION™ w/512MB DDR3

The atom is smaller and not as powerful most Atom cpu's go 1.Ghz and the graphics is 512mb vs 6310 being atleast over a gig of dedicated ram if you look at mine the almost the same gpu so i would assume you would get about the same dedicated ram at 1973Mb dedicated vs a measly 512 mb

If you can get a E350 cool but E450 would be round the same price i would go with a E-series over intel Atom

No problem

I hope what ever you pick works out and by the way

you can add another 4GB to that E-350 and it will run very smooth @8Gb that is one of the first things i did was add ram if you are doing extensive video decoding i suggest getting another set of ram for really good stability on video encoding just a suggestion
