you can move desktop folder in windows 7 quite easy. open your user folder. (named same as your user name). there you will see contacts, desktop downloads, my documents, my music etc. click properities and choose loccation tab then move it to HDD,
default program files location is harder to change but most programs lets you choose another folder during setup so its not a problem.
If you want 16 GB of RAM, what's wrong with 4 sticks of 4 GB each?
Those memory support lists are NEVER complete. Your motherboard will run fine on some RAM that is not on that list.

If I were getting Crucial, from that list, and wanted 16 GB, I'd get one of the following:

Above is 4 GB per stick; so get 2 sets of these if you want 4 GB sticks.
The Crucial search tool is highly reliable, so I wouldn't worry about getting any of those listed.
You will see very little if any improvement by moving up to the expensive stuff on that list. PC3-12800 is a good choice.
Instead of giving up all that speed of an SSD, why not just move your data to a data drive like most of us? The Desktop is not meant as a storage area. Nothing screams "noob" like tons of icons and folders on the desktop.
That being said, another reason is to keep your data files and the OS/programs separate. It's easier to recover, and keeps you organized. For best results, make your C drive an SSD for your OS and installed programs. Store all of your data on a larger HDD as D.
Now it is time for the video card! who can recommend me a good video card, my budget is $500 MAXIMUM! My mobo support 4-way SLi and 4-way Crossfire! :)

What card you need has to do with your monitor and resolution. A $500 card might be gross overkill, depending on those issues.
The various brands might differ in warranty, noise level, support, etc.
