USB3 Thumdrive not accepted as destination for Image File

I have win 7 64-bit on my laptop - an ASUSTeK Computer Inc. K54C 1.0 - and was attempting to use a Corsair Flash Voyager USB 3 thumbdrive as a destination for a WIN 7 Image File I was creating.

I got an error message saying this was "unsuitable" as a destination.

This thumbdrive is formatted in NTFS and was plugged into the USB 3 port of the laptop.

Can anyone suggest why this should be "unacceptable" ?
