would 460w be enough for an AMD FX-8150
as the title says.
I am planning to get a 8150 and i was just wondering if 460w would be enough for it and my sapphire hd6450
i plan to either turbo or overclock it(a little)
thanks

i already bought it but would it be enough?
my current system including the graphics card can run on 250w fine.
would 210w for the cpu be enough to overclock it or turbo it a little?
Should be OK. That's a low power video card, circa 20 watts or so, if my Googling is accurate.
The 8150 uses a lot of power compared to Intel--TDP of 125 watts I think.
Of course, you could have the world's worst 460 watt PSU, that really only puts out 275 watts.
depends. it's really all about total amps on the 12 volt rail(s). For a single mid to high range video card: less than 30 amps upgrade. more than 30 safe. more than 40 ideal. Watts plays a very minor role in the grand scheme. watts rating is more for newbies. enthusiasts go by 12volt amps available and how many 12 volt rails the PSU has. 1 single large 12 volt rail is the preferred method now.....
Either that or use an online PSU calculator to determine your exact needs. Always allow 150 watt cushion over and above the recommended PSU wattage....
