I have a broken partition that cannot be deleted, formatted or resized

I have this broken partition on my computer. If I open it in the disk administrator it says that it is formatted. The problem is that it isn't formatted correctly and that I can't read it, change it's properties or delete it. If I try to do anything with it the tool says that the file is not found.

I really want to delete it to get the space back. What can I do? The problem is likely that my harddrive has recorded somewhere that a partition exists while it in reality doesn't. Is there a way to make my computer realize that it is actually unallocated space?

Here's the eventlog error code: 80070002@020A000D

You may need to use a 3rd party tool to delete the partition from outside of Windows.
Most folks here like Partition Wizard on a bootable CD (ISO file).
Free Partition Magic alternative, partition manager freeware, partition magic server, partition magic Windows 7 and free Partition Manager software for Windows 7/8/VISTA/XP/2000 and Windows Server 2003/2008/2000.

HiJustmeFlex,

Just go through this tutorial Partition or Volume - Delete

In Option 2 Step 5, if it does not delete the volume , use delete volume override command as indicated in the note.

NOTE: If it fails to delete, then use type delete volume override and press enter instead.
