Two budget 8 GB DDR3: the specs seem fairly even. What's yr opinion regarding which is better. I am actually using a ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe and MSI FXA890-GD70 right now.

It's too close to call. Both companies have great products, customer support, etc. I think you'd be happy with either one. I have a Dell Vostro using G.Skill RAM and a Sony Vaio using Kingston. Both have worked flawlessly.

Figure so. The heatspreader on the Gskill looks bigger, but i doubt that would be much of any factor over the kingston. i don't do any overclocking anyway. was just trying to see which is marginally better as i like to pair that with my faster system which is the asus one. I am guessing that in term of compatibility they should work fine in either mobo.

Fairly even in pricing also: $4.69/GB for Kingston and $4.38/GB for G Skill

To be honest, I prefer Corsair's Vengeance series RAM. But if you're going between G.Skills and Kingston, I'd choose Kingston. It's probably my biased opinion though, really you can't go wrong with either. Make sure that your motherboard and CPU support the one you choose

well, my systems don't have the all the fastest neck breaking speed components so i am not into the more expensive higher speed ram. if there's a set of 8 gb ddr3 that's like 1333 instead of 1600 that's cheaper i wouldve got that instead. These are both the cheapest 8 gb set out there that seems to be fairly compatible with most boards..

The user profile on here only let you enter one computer so i am trying to cram the profiles of 3 computers into the available space.

Looking for 8 GB DDR3 modules not 4 GB modules. My older configuration for both the Asus and MSI contain 4 x 4 GB. Going to 4 x 8 GB on both. Just trying to decide which of the two DDR3 should go into which. I would prefer to have the faster of the two DDR3 going into the Asus, but I am guessing they are too close to say which is really better.
