SuperSpeed USB 3.0 FAQ explains quite a bit on USB 3.0 there. That will still take time before you start seeing new 3.0 devices on the market. And present 2.0 devices will still work while waiting for the new Super USB as they call it there.

The present board will run 2gb dimms as well as the four 1gb dimms you already have in. That would max the memory out to 8gb. As far as the present cpu and plans to run the new Virtual PC and XP Mode you will want to download the tool for that to see if the present model cpu supports virtualization.

Asus has most of their recent model boards already enabled for virtualization by default it seems. As for performance you will find that 7 will be a large noticable difference on the exact same hardwares where you have already been running the 64bit Vista Ultimate.
