Windows 7: Moving Windows from broken hard drive

Cheers. Prior to that, though, do I just have to burn the Windows 7 ISO to disk or is it more complicated than that?

Right click the iso file/burn image to disk. If you have a blank DVD in your drive, follow the prompts from there.

Do I need to keep any of the Windows files or just move the data I want to try and rescue? If I do have to buy a new hard drive will it be possible to save my Windows without buying another one as I didn't ever get an install disk with my laptop?

If you have burned the iso you now have an install disk.
Save your personal data, all Windows 7 files are in the installer.

Okay great. The only problem, however, is that the disk onto which I burned the installer won't boot. Any ideas?

Step:1
Moving Windows from broken hard drive-1.jpg

Step:2
Moving Windows from broken hard drive-2.jpg

Now it will boot.

You may have to enter BIOS and set it to have the optical drive to boot 1st.
