USB Sticks Stop Working After A Few Minutes

This happens on both my Win 7 32bit starter notebook and 64bit win 7 home premium desktop gamin pc

So i plug my usb in and i can surf and open a file but then it just freezes what i have open and then the usb stops getting read, and instead of it saying how much space it have it just says FAT32 and i cant open the usb till i replug it in, and the same happens

when i plug the usb first in it comes up with some files are broken or need fixing, and you can repair them with that thing the comes up. but i skip that.

Also i am using a Sandisk memory stick.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Hi,

Did you pre-format these USB flash-drives to FAT32 prior to writing the files to them? What type of files are written to these USB's?

    Regards,

Mmm. The only thing I can think of is to check the drive caching. Please refer to the tutorial below:

    Write-Caching - Enable or Disable

Mmmm. Are you able to copy the data off to another drive temporarily? The run some disk checking tools on the USB.

    kmjnhh,

    Let's get specific.

Take just one USB stick that doesn't work to your satisfaction.

With that one usb stick connected, then:

HOW TO POST A SNAPSHOT OF DISK MANAGEMENT DISPLAY
    Run disk management:
    WIN |
    type DISKMGMT.MSC | ENTER
This method gives you a display without the unneeded navigation pane.
WIN=key with Microsoft logo on top.

Maximize the output of Disk Management:
Maximize the output of Disk Management:
    ALT-Spacebar key combo | X key (selects Maximize) |
Drag the field separators (such as between Status and Capacity) to show entire field.

    Make a snapshot:
    WIN |
type SNIPPING | ENTER | New
Drag the cursor around the area you want to snip.
File | Save as | select save location and name | Save

    Post the snapshot:
Post a File or Screenshot in Seven Forums

    ==================================
    ===================================

    Update your specs:

    Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
    (left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Ř Manufacturer and Model OR Custom build.
Ř ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
    For example:
    Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

With Speccy, you can select with your mouse/touchpad info from the display
and paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
    this capability.
