Hum just had a quick flip through that Newegg place and well depending on the budget and what DPI you need -

Newegg.com - Logitech G700 Black 13 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 5700 dpi Gaming Mouse
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826125164

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826501012
Most are around 1600 DPI from I can make out but again I do like my M6900 and the 3500DPI.

The full listing is very long at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...17&y=14&Page=4

the 4000 series isnt the best, i have a 3000 series and it lasted for 2 yrs before i wore it out playing a lot of online games. im using their 6000 series and havent worn it out yet. how good of a mouse is how much your willing to dish out on a good mouse. logitech has a very good warranty but software for them is lowsy. their software isnt as precise as microsoft is.

Is the 6000 reliable, and smooth?

    Thanks,

Price not a problem if it is good- I've just had such bad luck with previous Microsoft Mice and I hated the fact that they wanted me to pay and send it to them prior to replacement.

Any other company I've dealt with, has always sent a replacement first and gave me a return shipping label.

Found it at Amazon - much less than $60.
    I'll give it a try.

    Funny you should mention that.

I just called Staples and they have them.
I also have a $16 ink rebate, so it all works out well.

The only way I would buy a wired one is if I could use it to strangle my ex-wife
