Local Disc D is showing full

    Hello,

I have a Samsung laptop and have just noticed that my local disc D is showing full. I have no idea why this is and would like to remove what ever is on there, that shouldn't be there. I did contact Samsung support and they said these are recovery files and not to touch them.

I have no technical computer knowledge, so I am afraid to do anything incase I cause any problems.

I am hoping that someone can kindly advise me what I can do.

    Many thanks.

    Welcome aboard, Sallym.

That is a factory made partition, includes some stuff those are needed to restore the computer in factory settings , if it is needed.

You need not to be worried about it, let it be there. But you make the recovery disks, too. There must be some mechanism in Samsung laptops to do it.

Thank you Arc for your reply.

I will leave it alone then and not worry so much about it now.
