not true, my nieghbor purchased his HP brand new with Windows 7 home premium 32bit, has 6 gb of ram, 320 gb hard drive. he had to buy a external power supply. he hasnt bought anything else, when he has problems he come to me for help. so i know it has a 32 bit OS with 6gb of ram. i asked him if he wanted to trade laptops.
You can put as much as you want in a 32-bit system but only 4 GB can be used. Go to Computer and right click, then click on Properties. In the lower right hand it will show "Installed RAM" and "Usable RAM". It will never show more than 4 GB usable in a 32-bit system no matter how much you put in. It is a fact.....
