I am stuck using my MX Revo, until I can afford to buy the Darkfield MX - this this becomes my laptop mouse. The laptop currently has a Vx Nano - a great little mouse - using it every day and the batteries haven't needed changing in well over 3 months....

You get what you pay for, for the most part, with Logitech products.

A local electronics store has a sale (67,53 USD) now one the Logitech MX 620
it actually has from the looks of it the precision, battery life, and build
    of some higher prized mice.

anyone here has anything to say about that one?

I had the now quite old MX700 wireless mouse from Logitech and didn't like it much -- Way too much lag. However, there have been 2 or 3 generations of improvements since then. At the time, I dialed back to the wired MX500 which served me well until earlier this year when it ascended into mouse heaven.

I tried a G5 and didn't think much of it. Depending on where I'm working, my two primary mouse work surfaces are a leather-inlaid desktop and/or my pants leg (usually jeans or sweats). The G5 wasn't partial to either of my preferred surfaces. I got the MX518 -- "gaming" successor to the MX500 series -- and couldn't be happier. It eats leather & denim for lunch!

Personally I prefer the Fatal1ty Pro mouse but I have owned plenty of good ones before settling on these. Not cheap and also wired but they are laser vs optical and come loaded with some very unique features.

I like the adjustable weights and the fact that I can set 3 different sensitivities and then toggle them on the fly with a button that also acts as an indicator for which speed is currently selected.

I guess we don't need to do a poll on which manufacturer we prefer here on SF.

After about a week speculating over this, and from the majorities rooting
for Logitech i went ahead and bought a Logitech MX 620.
It's not the top model, but i will say that its a giant step up from the
mouse i had before. and its silky-smooth. hehe.

Thanks for the great amount of responses I've had on this post :)

I just ordered myself a 'Habu' after some research. Anyone playing with one of these yet?

Well I just got it in the mail yesterday. So far I absolutely love it, only problem, Razer's driver/GUI won't be available for Win7 until next Wednesday according to their site! I can wait. Otherwise, great feel, slides smooth, nice weight, replaceable side buttons for comfort (fwd/back buttons), on the fly sensitivity adjustment via 2 buttons behind the scroll wheel and looks great too.

    Highly recommend.
